Clinical Quality and Patient Safety

National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence

Guidance from the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) is reviewed and incorporated into service delivery plans. Examples include:

• Falls
• Head injuries
• Infection control
• Pre-Hospital initiation of fluid replacement therapy in trauma
• Self harm
• The use of drugs for early thrombolysis in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction
