Responder Schemes

Beach Responder Units

The South Western Ambulance Service work in partnership with the beach lifeguards to assist in delivering a cohesive service to the visitors and locals alike using the beaches around our extensive coastline.

Partnerships with the RNLI and local Council beach lifeguards deliver effective Basic Life Support, AED defibrillation, Oxygen and First Aid to patients on and near beaches where guards operate during the busy summer periods.
