Responder Schemes

Static Site Responders

The Trust supports a number of ‘static responder’ sites across the region. Many of these have been started in partnership with the Department of Health, British Heart Foundation and Big Lottery funding, through the Defibs In Public Places Initiative.

Public access areas where there is a high level of ‘footfall’ such as shopping centres, airports, train stations and holiday parks are included.

Staff are equipped with an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and trained in its use and other emergency life support techniques.
